{Spiritual 5}
My 8 year old explained to me one day what she learned about waiting on God. She continued, "When waiting on God, the answer will always be 'Yes", 'No', or just 'Wait". She learned that from her school teacher that week. I was a little blown away. How true is that?
The Bible is full of believers who had to wait on God. King David prayed as he waited for an answer about his baby's health. Joseph drew to the Father as he waited release from prison. The Israelites cried out to God while they were waiting to be reduced from slavery.
A journey with God involves adventure and excitement, but not all the time. A lot of time is spent just waiting on God. This is not a waste of time. Rather, waiting on God is filled with purpose- to deepen your faith and relationship with Him. As you wait for God's perfect timing and purpose, keep talking to him. Even though you may not see anything right now, just wait, God is working on your behalf, preparing you for something good.
"This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed." Habakkuk 2:3
