{Spiritual 5- Wake up and spend time in the Word!}
Rise and Shine! Give God the Glory Glory!
You will typically find me waking my kids up to that song. To be completely honest, they really don't like the bright light flipped on along with the sound of my awful off-key singing when barging into their rooms before school! Ha!
Today, I continue in Psalms. I just love Psalms. I've always wanted to take time to really dig through it to really understand it more. Did you know the books of Psalms is the longest book in the Bible?! YES. Psalm 119 in particular, has a whopping 176 verses, making it the longest chapter in the whole bible. WOW. This will take me a while to get through, but that is ok! But I digress....
So this particular morning, I picked back up in chapter 4 of Psalms. This passage particularly stood out to me, " "Why is everyone hungry for more? More, more," they say. "more, more." I have God's more-than- enough, More joy in one ordinary day then they get in all their shopping sprees. At day's end I'm ready for sound sleep, For you, God, have put my life back together."
Um. Wow. This verse really reminded me of how easily we are impressed with worldly things. The houses, the cars, the clothes, the jewelry, on and on. I know first hand because I use to live that way. I feel like it became more apparent to me that I was focused on the wrong things when I took my eyes of the One thing.
When you come to a point in your life where you do get the things, it's still never enough. You are never satisfied. You become a slave to chasing nothing because there's no eternal value in them. It's a cycle, you come back to just wanting 'more, more' just like it says in Psalms.
I used to want a lot of material things, and it is only because my focus was not on the One thing. No money, cars, houses, trips, name brand clothes, or jewelry can compare to the joy that is in Christ. The only brand I rock is Jesus! He is Enough!
{Fitness 5- minimum 5 minutes MOVING!}
I am still sore from yesterday! Today, I made it to the gym and worked on strengthening my back! I lifted and it felt so good! I think I actually worked out around 35 minutes.
Please comment below with how your morning went! What did you read about, how did it impact you? What did your 5 minutes (minimum) of moving look like? I wanna know!
Blessings!

Makin' Jesus Famous, Romans 1:16
God put “perspective” on my heart this morning, referencing Psalm 3:1-8, 2Corinthians 4:16-18, Isaiah 55:8, Romans 8:37, and 1 Peter 5:10. Our perspective changes according to how close we are the the situation. Believing 1 Peter 5:10 (MSG) can certainly change your perspective!
“It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ ~ eternal and glorious plans they are! ~ will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes He does.”. Amen and Amen!
Done! My exercise was dancing in the kitchen while do laundry sorting and dishes! Lol
This morning (as every morning) I’m home with the kids, first I want to just touch on yesterday’s thankful things. For my number 4 I had written “A loving family who teams together” because two days prior my husband’s uncle had stopped by just to tell me about my tire that was well on its way to being flat and then helped me air it up and I was just feeling thankful for even just them keeping an eye out for us. Yesterday I went out to get the kids in the car to pull the tire off and put the spare on and it was completely flat. In the process he came out and jumped right in to help. Continuing on in the changing process we pulled my car down to his shop to use his fancy speedy equipment (rather than my hand crank jack ?) and his son came by and without a hesitation took over my place so I was left to stand and watch! Just this little moment blessed my day tremendously and I just felt like my thankful points were illuminated as to tell me He knows and is watching over my every need!
I read Job 11 today and reread parts of it because it was so good! This chapter is on setting your heart on God and removing any evil or temptations from your home and lives to better protect yourself and focus on what really matters as well as shining His light and drawing people to the hope that comes from the Lord. 13-20 outlines it perfectly. So good!
For today my thankful items are written in crayon on the kids’ school paper and I’ve completed my 6 (I bumped it up today!) minutes of movement with squats, planks, flutter kicks, bridges and pushups. I also have an appointment with my trainer (husband) to workout as well and will get outside with the kids if it isn’t too cold!
My neighbor and I were just talking about our goals for the new year and not spending money came up. We had a crazy abundant Christmas and everyone was happy but it’s so easy to get caught up in the worldly. My husband and I decided this Year were are cutting back on “stuff” and being more diligent with our faith and finances.
30 minute workout complete!
