Tell us a little more about you!
My name is Ashley and I love Jesus but I struggle to wait for his timing sometimes. I am a wife to one of the hardest working men you will ever meet, mom to three INCREDIBLE kiddos and “Aunt Sassy” to so many more! I am a Type-A, over- the- top business owner and lover of the arts, travel and my tribe. I am fiercely loyal I am so grateful for the journey the Lord has led me to... most days! I am so very blessed to be introduced to you all, and humbled for you to take a brief look into my world!
Description of company/business:
AmaliaK Design is a full- service event design and consulting company. From astounding balloon displays and floral arrangements to fundraising and brand integration AKD will make sure your corporate, fundraising or personal event leaves an unforgettable and lasting impression on your guests!
What is your key bible verse, either business or personal, and why?
Jeremiah 29:11- This has been my personal life verse for almost 20 years. I had a childhood that was amazing, but full of interruption and surprise. The last 2 and a half years have been such a difficult turn for us in many ways. The Lord has shown up at every turn, but this verse has never failed to bring me back to life when the darkness seemed unbearable. It is my “marching order” and the fundamental understanding with which my business and my life are built.
Where do you find your inspiration?
Life. This sounds cliche, but it is absolute truth. There is so much beauty in the chaos of every day. Whether inspiration for a fundraising client or design ideas for an event I find myself constantly stopping to notate an idea or pull a thought from the most random moments! I think that is how you know you are doing what you are meant to!
What encouragement can you share with our readers?
Run the Race. Nothing that is truly great in life has ever come easy or free. The Lord is true and faithful, and he honors work that honors who he is. So work hard, give freely of yourself, your resources and your gifts. Don’t look to the side to see who is catching you or passing you. Look straight. Focus. Run the race and he will be faithful.
I know this is easier said than done, but it is absolute and unfailing truth and I could sit for hours and give example and example!
Any additional information about your company that you would like to add?
We love what we do! We recognize that your event represents who you want to present to your world and we take that personally. We take pride in every event. Every dollar raised, every person reached, every attendee’s journey is important to us from the first meeting until the last touch is placed, you will never meet a company more dedicated to seeing your
Finally, we would love to continue the cycle of celebrating others who are using their gifts to create amazing products, who do you follow and love to shop from?
I love the Red Dress Boutique! It was started in GA years ago by a Diana Best Harbour I have known since childhood and she is just plain and simple- a rockstar. She is an incredible designer and curator and I have to use great restraint when browsing her posts and shop!
Corral Bakery is run by Ryan Eckel down in the Hill Country area of Texas. She is an incredible pastry chef who CONSTANTLY gives of her time and talents. They are currently in the process of adopting a little boy, and are just an incredible family!
Vickery Trading Company! She is located in DFW, but ships nationally! Not only are her outfits ADORABLE (she is amazing) but she employs and trains refugee women, sources ethical fabrics and is just generally hustling every day to improve our world.
Thank you so much for sharing about you and your business Ashley! We are so grateful to you!
