We just got back from vacation this past week and it was full of fun times and good rest. The first day we arrived, I received a text from a sweet friend back in Dallas in a bit of a panic asking me to call her. Without hesitation, I called her immediately because I knew with all my heart she was going through something and needed a friend to talk to. She explained the situation to me, and as I listened to her, she sounded hopeless and afraid. I was speechless. I felt like I didn't have anything to offer her but my listening ear and my friendship. I literally felt empty of words or sound advice. I had never gone through what she had gone through in my life and my heart broke for her.
The only thing that did come to my mind and heart were these words, "Can I pray for you?"  She said yes and I began to pray over her. I don't know what I said or if I even made sense, but I know when I finished praying over her, through her tears, she told me that she immediately felt better.  I can guarantee you this, it was nothing that I said, it was only the reminding her of God's word and His promises for her and her life that had comforted her.
Here's some sweet truth; Psalm 119:103 says this, " How sweet you words taste to me, they are sweeter than honey." God's words offer comfort and peace to us when our hearts are troubled.
I don't know what you are going through today, but I can tell you I have the answer.  Not to sound like a 'Know it All' or anything, but I am pretty confident of this... The answer is this.....

Hide God's word in your heart,

Fix your eyes on His ways,

Delight in Him,

and like a Good Father, He will take care of you and will soothe your troubled soul. . .

I’m single-minded in pursuit of you;
don’t let me miss the road signs you’ve posted.
I’ve banked your promises in the vault of my heart
so I won’t sin myself bankrupt.
Be blessed, God;
train me in your ways of wise living.
I’ll transfer to my lips
all the counsel that comes from your mouth;
I delight far more in what you tell me about living
than in gathering a pile of riches.
I ponder every morsel of wisdom from you,
I attentively watch how you’ve done it.
I relish everything you’ve told me of life,
I won’t forget a word of it.
Psalm 119: 11-16
{Journal 5}:  What is this scripture saying to you? Meditate on each line and reflect on what it means to you.
