Joshua told the people to march around the city for six days, followed by seven times on the seventh day, during which the priests would blow their horns and the people would collectivily shout really loudly. What is so cool to me is, before this happened, Joshua commanded the people, "Do not shout; do not even talk...Not a single word from any of you until I tell you to shout. Then shout!" Joshua 6:10.
Another way to paraphrase that story is this; God is telling us to be quiet and let Him do His thing, and that's to fight on your behalf. The next time you have been hurt, betrayed, or treated unfairly, and you are tempted to go to the place where you just want to fight, be quiet. When you are burdened with a situation, overwhelmed, and you're tempted to take things in your own hands, you have to make yourself (no matter how impossible it may feel), be still. Don't even talk. There is victory taking place without you even knowing it. The battle is the Lord's battle, not yours.
I dont' know what situation you are dealing with right now where you may think you have to take matters in your own hands. From my experience, its best to Let the Holy Spirit defend you😊
Many Blessings,
