6 Bible Verses to Build Your Confidence in Christ

1. "I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love." -- Ephesians 4:1-2

Whoa. The calling I have received. I have a responsibility, a duty to this calling and to doing it justice- and to do with humility, patience and grace.

2. "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you will also appear with Him in glory." -- Colossians 3:1-4

Wow, who I am in Christ's eyes matters more than anything else. He has my life, totally and completely. Let me make my life something beautiful and strong as I fix my eyes on Him.

3."Do not be afraid. Keep on speaking; do not be silent." -- Acts 18:9

I will not be silent, I will sing your praise forever! This verse inspires me to be bold, unashamed, extraordinary, and recklessly in love with God.

4. "Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for others in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." -- 1 Timothy 4:12

I don't know about you but that sounds pretty amazing to me and I want this for my children! Going against the grain, not just going with the flow’ like the world encourages us to do, but pursuing and promoting this virtuous life in Christ! Yes!

5. "You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees and fields will clap their hands." -Isaiah 55:12

So do love. Be radically generous, be bold, live in peace, and live a big story. Remember to whom you belong and let that inspire you to act.

6."He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion." -- Philippians 1:6

This verse reminds me that God has a plan for me, a wonderful plan to make me into the mama, wife, and a woman that I was created to be. Because of that, I am reminded to persevere in prayer, never quitting, fighting the good fight.

"Give away love like you're made of the stuff; we're rehearsing to spend eternity together." - the man, the myth, the legend, Bob Goff.
